I'm so glad that I received this. My over-three-year-old laptop battery would only run for about 5-10 minutes unplugged. The new battery lasts for over three hours unplugged (a convenience that I won't take for granted) and arrived in good condition. A good purchase overall. I'm not sure where I could find a better price...

I bought this battery replacement for my boyfriend's 5 year old toshiba satallite laptop. Before, he was getting about 40 minutes use out of his old battery due to its old age. It has been a month since he's received this and with this new battery he has been getting between 4-5 hours on one charge daily. So he loves this.
At the beginning, before my boyfriend used his laptop with the new battery in it, he fully charged it for a good part of the first day. Then, he fully drained the battery. Then he used the laptop like normal. He only did this at the very beginning because he believes this helps to maintain the battery life. There has been mixed reviews on the internet whether this step is necessary or not. But it certainly didn't hurt the battery since he gets great battery life now.
One last note, this battery is Toshiba branded as I made sure to get the real thing versus an unknown third party brand that may not be up to the same quality as Toshiba products. Therefore, I highly recommend this.

In spite of an order placed for a Toshiba Battery PA3399U-2BRS, which I searched by model, and clicked over the apropriate link, with this specific text (PA3399U-2BRS), I received a "generic" "compatible(?)" Dekcell battery.
Its recharging cycle takes about 40 (forty!) hours, with several interruptions during the process (about 5 or 6 times).
I need to "babysit" my notebook day and night during this neverending recharging cycle to pullout and reinsert the battery at each interruption, in order to reset the charging cycle.
Contating BrilliantStore Support Center, I was oriented to try a few more times but, until now, - after EIGHT full recharging cycles -, the battery still presents this awfull behavior.
From my point-of-view, I do not get a reliable battery.

I purchased this battery after triple checking that it was for my computer model. It wasn't and I was stuck with paying to have it replaced. It is better to eat the higher price and go through the vendor (Toshiba's) website. It will save you money and aggravation in the end.
