It's high capacity battery with extended hours. Get around 4 hours of battery life. It sticks out from the bottom, makes the laptop easier to use for typing, and keeps the laptop cooler. It does amazingly well with the great demand that laptop gives it with high end games. DekCell is Registered Trademark, and it's exclusively sold by BrilliantStore only.

 Great replacement battery for the money. September 10, 2010

As a photographer, my laptop needs to be in tip-top shape, as I only shoot on location, so my laptop goes with me everywhere and is a crucial part of my business. My HP DV9000 is a juice hog. I bought this battery to replace the OEM that didn't last two years. I run a 17 inch widescreen monitor, dual core processor, 4GB of ram, and Windows 7 Ultimate. The two programs I depend on and are constantly running are Adobe Bridge, and Photoshop CS5, which are both graphics rich resource hogs. In testing this battery, I average about three hours of photo editing before I get a battery is at 25% warning on my screen. That being said, I am a believer, and will buying a second one of these to carry in my bag for all-day shoots. on a side note, I was given a shipping estimate of about three weeks. I ordered on Saturday around 2PM, and my battery was in my mailbox Monday morning. Fastest shipping I have seen so far on Amazon. Kudos to the seller. One last thought... the extra four cells in this battery does make it stick out further than the OEM, raising the back of my laptop up about a half inch in the back, which in my opinion, is very effective on cooling my laptop.

At first, battery worked well. Lasted about four hours on a charge.
Then one day, 3.5 months after I installed it, it began to hold a charge for only fifteen minutes before the laptop died. Tried charging several more times, removing and re-inserting the battery and got the same results. Even tried booting Linux and got the same result. The battery meter now says it only holds 10% of rated capacity (10 WHr instead of 88 WHr) -- less than the original battery that this one replaced.
Guess I'll buy a new battery somewhere else since we are past the return date on this product.

When I first got my HP laptop I was getting about 2-1/2 hrs. of usage from its factory battery. I was only getting about 45 min. when I decided to get a new one. I'm now getting over 4 hrs. with this battery. It's really great! The only issue I have is that since it's an 8 cell battery it makes the laptop fairly heavy. With the increased battery life the extra weight is worth it. I feel the cost was also excellent.

I decided to get this battery for when I go to college. With my old OEM battery, I was able to get around three to four hours of runtime. With this battery, I can get anywhere from five to six hours on one charge. In addition to this battery, I have made some other upgrades to my laptop. An Intel SSD helped prolong the amount of time I could run on one charge, and I removed the other secondary HDD from my laptop, and purchased an external HDD. With this, it increased runtime for about an hour and a half. Windows 7 also does an excellent job when I have it on the Power Saving power plan. Here's my specs...
