Saved myself about 80 bucks buying this battery instead of the OEM battery. The Life is just as long, about 3 hours. Interesting enough the OEM XPS M1210 battery has one star for short battery life on the Dell website, everyone said there's stopped recharging after a year. I've had this for a few months now and try not to use it much but the battery is still lasting 3-4 hours. So far, so good.

I wasn't sure about this given some poor reviews on similar generic batteries, but this works quite well. It lasts as long as the original battery did (about 3-4 hours under light use--e.g., word processing, e-mails). It does stick out roughly 1 inch from the back, and is a little heavy, but it works!
