This battery is great - previously my laptop battery would be dead in about 45 minutes. This battery lasts 4-5 hours. I no longer have to carry the power cord with me when I use the laptop. It was reasonably priced also.
The only thing that could be improved is the shape - it is twice as big as the original, so it sticks out of the laptop bottom.

Learning For A Lifetime
In a single transaction I have become a loyal NewTrent customer. This battery (EV089AA) works even longer than I expected it to. The battery capacity has not decreased at all and I've been using it *heavily* for the last 3 months. On battery saver mode I can easily get 6 - 7 hours out of it, in minimal power management mode I still get 4+ hours of usage. My NewTrent battery lasts longer than a friends equivalent extended HP battery that is approximately the same age. I was hesitant about the 12 cell model due to it's larger size. I was delighted to find that it fits very snugly. The battery never becomes unlatched or falls out. The small boost in height due to the larger size actually makes typing more ergonomic. It was so refreshing to have my expectations exceeded.
I got into the market for a new laptop battery when my OEM stock battery just stopped working one day. It would not take a charge at all, it would die the moment I unplugged laptop. Although many people suggested I stick with a battery from HP to avoid "complications", I found the manufacturer was not at all helpful when I wrote or called. I did some research online and found I could get an extended life battery from NewTrent for about 1/3 of the cost HP was charging. NewTrents reasonable pricing was a big selling point.
I wasn't sold on the low cost alone though. I exclusively buy from companies that have significantly positive ratings and feedback on Amazon. This sealed the deal for me. The reviews raved about the quality of the battery AND NewTrent's exceptional customer service.
Having worked in customer service for 7 years, largely in training and management, my standard for good service is very high. Customer service is just as, if not more important the the product I receive. NewTrent dazzled me. The battery arrived faster than expected, with deliver on Saturday for no extra cost. They followed-up on my experience and satisfaction. When I have called they were extraordinarily helpful, and it really made an impression on me. Should a problem arise for any reason, the people of NewTrent will own your problem. I trained my customer service employees to provide the level of service NewTrent does. You can shop with confidence as they will absolutely take care of you.

I recently purchased the New Trent EV089AA to replace my factory battery that wouldn't hold a charge anymore. The price was outstanding! I couldn't possibly find a better deal for an extended capacity battery. The shipping was very fast, I had the battery in just a few days. The battery holds a charge for a very long time. I can easily get 4 hours out of it. I would definately recommend this battery/company to anyone looking to replace a battery for their laptop.

This is the best third party battery that I have used till date. On a full charge this battery easily operates for 3.5 to 4 hrs. Shipping was fast and packaging was very good.

The first one came immediately, much sooner than I expected. After a couple of weeks the diagnostics indicated there was a failure within the battery. I notified the company and they replaced it without question. The new one has operated as promised and the charge holds up very well. I will look to this company for all my battery needs in the future. Great Customer Service gets my business every time.
