Great book, recommended for admins September 4, 2010 Rob C 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great reference. Takes you through scenarios and approaches very smoothly even is you have little experience with SharePoint 2007
Every SharePoint Admin needs a personnal copy... September 3, 2010 Bruce 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
In fact, every admin needs 2: one for the office and one for home.
And one for the laptop when on the road. Ok, so that's three, although an on-line copy might suffice.
I keep a copy on my desk for reference.
I do wish that the environement used would have put SQL on its own server, rather than on the DC. Also, as we get more exposure to SP2010, everyone is learning about the product and an update would be very adventageous. Will there an SP 1 for the book?
Outstanding August 31, 2010 DougTheCoder (Tinley Park, IL United States) Todd's book is an outstanding reference for every SharePoint 2010 Administrator. It was easy to read (unlike a lot of technical books) and I found it very relevant to what I do on a daily basis.
A Must Have August 24, 2010 Janet Carter Professional SharePoint Administration is the best SharePoint book I have read. I have been working with SharePoint since version 2003 and this book is very clear, concise and easy to follow. Not only do I read it any chance I get, but also for specific reference. We have a 2010 intranet that is a few weeks from live and couldn't have done it without this book!
Great for all SharePoint 2010 Admin has beens or wannabes! August 24, 2010 PatrickD Excellent book - written very well. Filled with plenty of candid info, humor, and it keeps you interested through out. Highly recommend this and past writings by the authors!
